Why is the cutting surface of the laser cutting machine not vertical?

1. Poor beam focusing effect: Laser cutting relies on high-precision beam focusing. If the beam is not focused at the bottom of the material, resulting in light scattering, the cutting edge will not be vertical. Especially when cutting thicker materials, such as acrylic sheets, the conical focusing of the beam may result in a loss of bottom cut quality.

2. Mechanical accuracy problem: The accuracy of the machine tool itself is insufficient, such as the accuracy of the guide rails and screw rods, or the cutting head is not completely perpendicular to the material surface, which will cause the cutting surface to tilt.

3. Improper parameter settings: Inaccurate settings of the laser cutting machine’s working parameters (such as power, speed, gas type and pressure) may also lead to cutting quality problems.

4. Cutting head position or optical path problems: Inaccurate positioning of the cutting head or offset of the optical path will lead to cutting deviations.

5. Material issues: The workpiece itself may be deformed, or the material thickness exceeds the optimal processing range of the equipment, which will also affect the cutting quality.

6. Servo motor parameter setting: The servo motor controls the accuracy of the cutting path. If the parameters are set improperly, it may cause irregular cutting shapes, including non-vertical cutting surfaces.
