What problems may exist in the processing and cutting process of aerospace manufacturing?

1. High-strength materials are difficult to cut: high-strength materials are often used in the aerospace field, such as titanium alloys and nickel-based alloys. The high hardness and low thermal conductivity of these materials make traditional cutting methods difficult. Problems such as fast tool wear and poor cutting quality may occur in the cutting process.

2. Heat affected zone control: Due to the precise size requirements of aerospace components, the influence of heat affected zone on size and shape needs to be controlled within an acceptable range. Traditional cutting methods, such as flame cutting and plasma cutting, may cause large heat affected zones, resulting in dimensional changes and degradation of material properties.

3. Difficult seam cutting: aerospace parts often need to carry out complex seam cutting, requiring high cutting quality and high precision. The traditional mechanical cutting method may have difficulties in line slit cutting, but the laser cutting has higher precision and controllability, which can better realize the line slit cutting.

4. Accuracy and speed requirements: aerospace manufacturing has high requirements for cutting accuracy and speed. Traditional cutting methods may not be able to meet the needs of high-precision and high-speed cutting at the same time, and laser cutting machines can achieve high-precision and high-speed cutting by adjusting cutting parameters.
