Conventional sheet cutting (such as 0.5mm to 4mm steel), the recommended power between 1kW and 3kW.

 

2. Medium thickness material:

Cutting 4mm to 10mm steel plate, it is recommended to use 3kW to 6kW laser cutting machine.

 

2000W laser cutting machine can handle carbon steel up to 16mm thickness, stainless steel up to 6mm, aluminum plate up to 4mm and so on.

 

The 3000W fiber laser cutting machine can cut carbon steel up to 22mm, stainless steel up to 12mm, aluminum plate up to 8mm.

 

3. Thick plate cutting:

If you need to cut thicker sheets (more than 10mm), you should consider higher power laser cutting machines, such as 6000W and above.

 

High power laser cutting machine (8000W and above) can effectively cut 0.5-60mm carbon steel plate, stainless steel plate, aluminum and other metal materials.

 

4. Cost and efficiency considerations:

For companies that often cut metal sheets below 6mm, 500W-700W laser cutting machines can meet the needs.

 

The higher the power, the stronger the cutting capacity, but it also means higher equipment investment and operating costs, so the choice needs to balance production needs and cost effectiveness.
