When the fiber laser cutting quality is poor, it is recommended to carry out a general inspection first. The main contents and order of general inspection are:

 

1. Cutting height (recommended actual cutting height between 0.8 and 1.2mm). If the actual cutting height is not accurate, calibration is required.

 

2. Check whether the type and size of the cutting port are used incorrectly. If correct, check whether the incision is damaged and whether the roundness is normal.

 

3. It is recommended to use a cutting edge with a diameter of 1.0 for optical core detection. The focus of optical center detection should be between -1 and 1. This makes the spot small and easy to observe.


4. Check whether the protective lens is clean, no water, no oil, no slag.Sometimes due to weather or pavement when the air is too cold caused by fog.

 

5. Check that the focus Settings are correct. If the cutting head auto focus must use the mobile phone APP to check whether the focus is correct.

 

6. Modifying cutting parameters

 

After the above five checks are correct, modify the parameters according to the cutting phenomenon of the fiber laser cutting machine.

 



So how to adjust the parameters based on this phenomenon? Here is a brief introduction to the states and solutions encountered when cutting stainless steel and carbon steel.

 

For example, there are many types of stainless steel hanging slag. If only the corner slag can be considered the roundness of the corner, the parameters can reduce the focus, increase the air pressure, etc.

 

If the whole slag is hung, it is necessary to reduce the focus, increase the air pressure, increase the cutting port, but the focus is too low or the air pressure is too low will lead to the stratification of the section and the surface is rough. If the whole granular soft slag is hung, the cutting speed can be appropriately increased or the cutting power can be reduced.

 

Stainless steel

Fiber laser cutting machine may also encounter when cutting stainless steel: When cutting near side hanging slag, you can check whether the gas supply defect gas flow can not keep up.

 

Carbon steel

Fiber laser cutting machine cutting carbon steel generally encounter: thin plate section is not bright enough, thick plate section rough and other problems.

 

In general, the brightness of 1000W laser cutting carbon steel does not exceed 4mm, 2000W is 6mm, and 3000W is 8mm.

 

The bright part you want to cut must first be a good plate surface without rust, no oxidized paint, followed by high oxygen purity of at least 99.5% or more, in the cutting need to pay attention to: with a small cutting nozzle double 1.0 or 1.2 cutting speed needs to exceed 2m/min cutting pressure should not be too large.
